Out of this world...

This other-worldly landscape is up on the Blorenge (one of the seven hills of Abergavenny and extremely useful if you're writing rhyming verse and want a rhyme for "orange"). I suppose it is slag heaps from the coal mining that used to be such a feature of the Welsh valleys, their contours picked out by frost.
