Feeling Christmassy!

Fraser did the honours at our Christmas dinner this afternoon. Today was so Christmassy! Children's nativity at church in the morning - which was adorable of course; games and dinner with friends; then a lovely carol service by candlelight in the evening.

I've been trying to decide on my favourite Christmas Carol. There are so many great words in them we often brush over as we sing them year after year. I'd probably say O Little Town of Bethlehem at the moment for the image it paints of that night when Jesus was born and how it impacts us. I'm very lucky to spend time with friends when there are those who will be lonely this Christmas for many reasons outwith their control. Christmas is about God coming to earth to dwell among us. It's in the name 'Immanuel' - meaning God with us.
