A Cake By Kat 1993
Life before Blip: Mothering Sunday 1993
This is how I remember Mothering Sunday when the girls were young:- Church in the morning with a little posy of foil-wrapped daffs for the attending children to give to their mums. My own mum would be with us so I would go up and join the queue.
The day before katkatkat had baked a sponge cake and this afternoon she decorated it. A heart-shaped cake with a hand-made icing flower for her and Rachel to give to me. Sugarcraft flower- making was new to me then so it was probably the first time we tried to do it.
