Australasian Gannet

Not often you get the chance to get this close to one of these guys. It's illegal to have native birds in captivity in New Zealand so I , again, feel privaleged to help the folk at ARRC out with some photos. The fella was found tangled in fishing line and a bit worse the wear for it, so the folk at ARRC have him in till he's up to strength. He's doing well in Sue's swimming pool.
