(The Making of) The Cat Sat on the Hat

An irritatingly recurrent part of this journal has been the self-indulgent series "Self Portraits With Cats". Clearly, there will always be a market for pictures of cats - it's what the internet was invented for - but the dilution of the lovable cats by the distinctly unlovable NickMog probably accounts for the series' lukewarm reception.

But, despite this, NickMog perseveres and, today, offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the making of his latest cat photograph. Most of you probably assume that there is a large group of skilled technicians working on these epics but, as you can see, NickMog prefers to work with a small, hand-picked team of unskilled amateurs. Just a scriptwriter, cameraman, star, star's stand-in, vagrant to pose with the star, star's PA and boy who makes the tea. Bare bones.
