I wonder sometimes

Why do people not think it through thoroughly when they get a dog?
A dog is a commitment for 10-18 years and if moving overseas is something you might want to do then DON'T get a dog.
This pretty girl here is a young adult, surrendered to the shelter because the owner is moving overseas and doesn't want to take her along ...

Dogs like that don't usually get taken on by the shelter otherwise the shelter would be overflowing with discarded dogs, but there was an empty pen, she's pretty and her breeding might attract potential adopters. She's a GSP X Springer Spaniel.
