(Im)Perfect Idyll

I took the north route walking round the town today and halfway on the 6 km walk I found the perfect idyll....... almost!

The plane started just in time to be blipped flying over the idyll - but it was the only plane I remember seeing on the walk and that is very unusual!

I was very busy fighting the muddy paths today - to get to this very spot I more or less slided and stumbled down the hill and across the very very very wet meadow.
The meadow wanted my shoes but I did not give in to that!
(I should have - they don't look like mine anymore.)

Yesterdays new lake on the south side of the town shrunk in todays sunshine - but there is more rain to come says the weatherfrog.
