Imagine

The Busters Beach Bus No 12 left us by ‘Taylors Made’ (estate agents) in Sandbanks where we glossed over the £10M glass houses for sale.

Then walked round the Sandbanks Peninsula where perfectly good houses are perpetually bulldozed to create the Footballers’ Palaces.

All quiet and pleasant on the Peninsula as the Chain Ferry across to Studland is out of service (again) till August. It needs unforeseen urgent repairs. Much to the chagrin of local businesses. The alternative route is a 25 mile drive round the harbour, and apart from anything this will become even more congested on summer days.

A very pleasant cappuccino at the Haven’s civilised lounge overlooking the harbour entrance. Followed by an Aspall on the terrace at the Sandbanks Yacht Club (a small, pleasant, unassuming venue, which you could easily pass without noticing)

And so to my blip .... not an ‘Intentional Camera Movement’, but then this is ‘optional’ in Ingeborg’s challenge today ....

This was taken on the favoured tip of the Peninsula where John Lennon bought his beloved aunt Mimi a house ‘Harbours Edge’ at No. 126, for £25,000 in 1965. The house is long gone, the current one is named ‘Imagine’). There’s a link below, if you’re interested. The original photo is in extras.

We’ve had some rain at last. Hopefully it will help revive the communal gardens. Due to be hot later. Then heavier rain tomorrow.

And here you can see the exterior and interior of Imagine, and the amazing panoramic views at the back (check out the short video which is at the beginning!) >
