A slice of Sandton. Street scene #2

The day was cloudy and grey but very humid. I was back at school handing over to Sally. We went through everything she needs to know. Wrote down contact details, passwords and sorted files. Made a To-Do-List for tomorrow and then went for frozen hot chocolate at Mugg and Bean!

It was already after five and I had to go in search of my Blip. I had noticed this bus stop yesterday and hoped I would find the long queue again today. When I took this photo it was already 17:45 and these working folk were waiting for mini-bus taxis to take them home. The location is Rivonia road in Sandton. There is so much detail and I did take some close-ups but I really wanted to show how long the queue was and how patiently they waited. When I looked at my photos I noticed somebody drinking a coffee, a man reading a newspaper, another reading over his shoulder and even a young lady posing for me. Most of their lives are simple. They are not wealthy. They don't own fancy houses or cars. But they seem happy to wait for their taxi to take them home at the end of a long day.

My Joy Today:
~ Handing over a job I have loved to an angel who appeared at just the right time.
~ Knowing that my passion for the school will be replaced with another passionate soul.
~ Watching my children carefully pack their own suitcases as the excitement of going on holiday builds!
