Red Dunes

Woke up to a really breezy day! The gum tree outside my bedroom was making so much noice, at one point I thought we had a small shower!

We decided to head out to the desert after lunch - just a little drive to get out of the city. We headed towards a dune called "The Big Red" on the Dubai-Hatta Road. It is one of the few places not far out of town where you can see big sand dunes with no vegetation growing on them.

Go large to see the sand flying off the tops of the dunes. I love the patterns the wind creates. It was great being out.

Happy weekend everyone; though we've only got tomorrow left. Friend coming over in the morning to help us declutter unpack some more boxes! Yikes!
