Kilim

I was really looking forward to the first Saturday for quite a while with no immediate deadline or obligation but all plans to go out with my camera washed away when I woke up to "Istanbul Grey" with constant rain. So I went back to sleep.

To bring some colour in to my day, I have chosen to blip this Turkish Kilim which has hung on my bedroom wall for more than ten years. Kilims have symbolic images woven into their design. Mine includes the Tree of Life and Paradise as well as the Nazarlik to protect me from the evil eye.
