world in a grain of sand

first blipmeet

Ithaca arranged access at the former Cold War airbase at Upper Heyford, used by the RAF and American airforces, which closed about 20 years ago. It's a strange place, not entirely abandoned as some of the hangars are used by industry. It's awaiting redevelopment for housing and other employment opportunities.
It was the first time I'd met blippers other than the ones I knew before they were blippers. Everyone was keen to use the chance we had to look around this interesting place, and now I'm interested to see what others have chosen to share on blip.
I was rather overwhelmed by the scale of the place and most of my shots ended up being of details, such as lock or "distressed surfaces" -or other blippers.
