Bach, Opihi Reserve

Oh, the memories! We owned this bach for many years when we were children. So many memories.
Long drop toilet.
Cooking sausages on willow sticks over an open fire on the river bank. Oh, yes, the potatoes cooked in the skin in the ashes. They were so sooty sometimes.
Sleeping top and tail or up to 4 in the double bed.
Having a bath in the old tin bath.
Swimming in the river ALL day - nearly.
We pretty much ran wild.
New Years eve midnight bonfire. It's ready to go for this year too - the extra photo.
We'd stay there for weeks in the summer holidays while the men drove into Timaru to work.

The bach has had a bit of a do up - still recognise it though.
