Driving the Zamboni!

In honor of Frank Zamboni's 112th birthday today (were he still kicking up ice), Google has a fun little doodle game where you get to drive the Zamboni (virtually) across your computer screen. Oh the little joys in life!

As a kid, I loved the ice rink skating breaks when I watched the magic Zamboni turn the scratched up surface smooth and glossy. Today, braving the treacherous roads of North Rhine Westphalia, I could have used my own Zamboni. It was a busy day of Mom taxi and on a few occasions, my wheels spun, the car slipped, I had to change my route to avoid a slope my little Honda couldn't quite master.

So I found great amusement in returning home tonight, booting up my laptop, and finding the Zamboni game.

Lesson of the Day: Take time to smell the flowers, or as the case may be, play on the ice :)
