Abstract on a gate (AT239)

This detail is from a sheet of metal on a gate. At first I thought it was lichen but on closer inspection, the metal has had paint applied as if dripped on oil. So, my thinking it was lichen is my connection to the optional theme of nature. Not too far fetched I hope Ingeborg. Thanks for hosting.
