Spot the Difference

... and I don't mean the snow!

Compare this shot from our bedroom window with the one that I took a week ago last Friday., and the wider-angle view to which I gave a link.

You will see that the monnstrous white marquee has disappeared. That eyesore was covering a tennis court to provide "all-weather" facilities. Now, looking beyond the floodlighting fixtures, you can see through to the hills and fields beyond: a great improvement.

Some men were seen dismantling the marquee yesterday. We wonder if it was the objections (from us and many others) to the retrospective planning application (which we thought might be a sneaky way of making the structure permanent) or rather the weight of snow that pulled the tent down. Anyway, it is gone for the time being, and the snow has made for a much more interesting white outlook in our garden and beyond.
