Ganesha

Ganesha is widely revered as the Remover of Obstacles and more generally as Lord of Beginnings and Lord of Obstacles, patron of arts and sciences, and the deva of intellect and wisdom.

Ganesha was given to me by a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow who I helped with his application because as the Lord Of Beginnings he said he seemed appropriate. As the Christmas decorations came down yesterday it seems more like the start of the new year so he seemed appropriate again.
