In My World

Flood waters

We awoke in the morning to silence.

The sound of the rain pelting down to the ground, the roar of the wind flinging the trees willy-nilly, was gone.

In it's place, I heard the sounds of the birds, waiting for their early morning feed. And our misty morning valley, usually lush and green, resembled a large pond.

Everywhere in our local area branches were broken off trees, some trees had been totally uprooted, others split and damaged, and everywhere, there was water, water where there isn't usually water.

I think, I hope, this will be the end of the stormy weather now.
