Roman baths
We drove up to the Roman baths at Dorres today. There are a few thermal open air baths around but these are the only ones that are in a field with expansive views in all directions. They are pleasantly laid out and it is also possible to fill a concrete basin for an individual bath. The water temperature is 39 degrees so we had a good soak and a picnic overlooking the Cerdagne, the only part of France on the Iberian peninsular, a high plateau (around 5000 feet) en route to Andorra. Although there was still snow on the ground, the sun was strong and we had to peel off the layers.
