Armathwaite Station

On the famous Settle to Carlisle line. I just missed a steam train going through this station, but may return when the next one is running later in the month. The Admiral was placed by a friendly chap who helps maintain the signal box (complete with original hand-pull levers, etc) as it was in the 1930's with the Midland Railway colours. [The signal box is no longer used but does give a great feeling of history and colour].

I've been invited for a look inside next time I'm down that way.
