Whenever I'm passing I always stop to take a look at this bronze sculpture of a World War I soldier tucked in the entrance to the Britannia Hotel in Manchester. It's by Charles Sergeant Jagger and is a memorial to the many people who worked in this former warehouse who died in the war. I don't usually go for war memorials but I find this really moving.
Sorry for the rubbish photo, I only had a little camera with me and was rushing but this was worth it.
