Tsuba

Off to the antique fair again today and managed to pick up a rather nice Tsuba (the decorative hand guard off of a Japanese sword, in this particular case probably a Katana.

We also bought a rather nice Japanese bowl decorated with Momotaro...watch out for this to feature in a future Blip!

PS - If anyone can translate the Kanji characters I'd be most grateful (as my sons Japanese isn't quite up to the task).
