Poorly baby

They say sport is good for you, I think my Ollie might have something to say about this.

This was Ollie after a judo session in Redbridge yesterday. He was fighting and when he hit the floor his coach was there in seconds so I knew he was hurt. He badly dislocated his elbow and couldn't move. We had to have the ambulance come for him, then wait for the gas and air to work before they could move him. Went to hospital with lights flashing and sirens blaring. At the hospital we were met at the ambulance doors by a team of 4. His hand had gone blue and he had lost the feeling in his fingers. Xray, then they had to knock him out to manipulate it back into place, that was horrible to watch. More xrays then home. Thankfully there was no break and no surgery which they thought was a problem at first. Now he is in a cast waiting to go to Addenbrookes for follow up.

Worst thing for Ollie is he was supposed to be going skiing with the school this weekend, so he is not a happy bunny. Mind you I think I blame myself more for the accident than he does. He says it was accident, why are you upset. One day when he is a Daddy he will understand why.
