The Stars Wept (over the Willow)
After promising to stay away from rivers, after my most highly rated Blip 'An Ode to Ansel'a few days ago, obviously the draw for me is just too strong.
After capturing this same willow yesterday, at sunset, went back after midnight for this superwideangle (eqv to 9mm on DX) and this the very last (& longest) exposure after an hour and a half. By time I left, discomfort in the toes had turned to pain - there's one heck of a frost out there! The strident mile walk back home helped offset that, a bit...
About 8 mins exposure - yes, tripod included! Decided that a half-moon is better for long exposure landscapes than full ones, especially over water as they have half the strength and so don't burn out anywhere nearly so easily.
