Project 365 day 46: Winter Flowering Jasmine Fairy

This was my mother's Flower Fairies book. There is no date for the edition, but it's probably from the late 1930s; it was given to my daughter by my cousin, to whom my mum gave it when she left home and got married in 1959. The colour plates are on glossy paper, while the verses are on thick, creamy paper, rather discoloured now, and in places interleaved with faded pressed flowers. Perhaps my mum picked them when she was a child. This is the winter jasmine fairy. If I'd been better organised I could have brought a bit indoors to photograph with it.
