Happy Anniversary!
Not ours -- tonight was a party to celebrate Elizabeth Station's first anniversary. We went with our good friends A and C, and A took this photo of us.
Phil has chalked up considerable time at this neighborhood bottle shop/pub/casual eatery, which has an amazing selection of beers from around the world for purchase, including a wide range of Belgian beers, his favorite. I've been there less often, but didn't want to miss the chance to sample all of the items on the $30 punch card -- a fine collection of craft beers brought in for the party, including Elizabeth Station's own brew, so named because many patrons walk there (or ride their bicycles). The Goat Mountain pizza, specially decorated birthday cake (don't miss the tiny frosting beer bottles amidst the hop vines and flowers) and cookies from Bellingham Flatbread, or the ice cream from Acme Ice Cream were very well received.
Arriving shortly after the party began ensured seats at one of the long tables, and we had a great time in the all-ages crowd. It was a relaxing evening out and a great way to celebrate a neighborhood institution that has won the hearts of many Bellinghamsters.
