Ermintrude

New PC got unpacked today. Sooooooo much screen!

Since we had a network in the house we've needed to identify the PC's on it. Naming the first two Wallace and Gromit (now both long gone to the Great Dismantelment in the shed) set the pattern.

Quite a few PC's later we hit the problem that there are only so many interesting characters in the W&G stories; even spelling Shawn/Shaun both ways only deferred the problem. Naming the black rectangular slab of the laptop 'Toast' indicated we're already wearing holes in bottom of the barrel.

I was going to restart the cycle and name the newcomer 'Wallace'.

Then someone at the office suggested 'Ermintrude', from The Magic Roundabout, and it seems to have stuck in my mind.

It's either that or 'Tottie'.

'Ermintrude' then.
