Entwined Trees in a Munich Forest

We visited a friend who lived on the outskirts of Munich and I went for a walk in the woods nearby.  The woodland was being used to study 'langfristige beobachtung von sturmschäden' (long-term observation of storm damage). I particularly liked these entwined trees.
