Granddaughter Ashly

I was pleasantly surprised to see Ashly's photo on FaceBook early this morning. She's all decked-out for St. Paddy's Day -- her daddy's birthday. Actually, I think at that moment she was about to be on her way to work at Ace Hardware Store. She works three jobs -- Ace Hardware on weekends, a teacher's aide for Special Ed children Monday-Friday; and as a "server" for a catering company whenever they need her (which is often). She is currently sending in her applications for acceptance to university. She wants a career as a Special Ed Teacher. She has two full years at community college completed. She is our first grandchild and our favorite redhead.

This evening her daddy's birthday celebration is going to be at "The Salted Pig" (a restaurant in Riverside that specializes in bacon and pork) to celebrate. Back in September we celebrated Ashly's 24th birthday at the same place. I'm sure they are having fun.

Here's what I am wondering about -- is it St. Patty's or St. Paddy's? I see it spelled both ways and I'm just a little curious if one is more correct than the other.
