Man behind the story

Hannu Siitonen was a special guest at the monthly meeting of our Photo club. He and his friend Mikko Pöllänen are the cinematographers of the film 'The story of the Forest'. It took 5 years to make this film, the premier was in December and it has proved to be a huge success. It's a documentary and a tribute for old, genuine and untouchable Finnish forests. Why don't you check out ! The music of the film won a significant award (Composer Panu Aaltio, the International Film Music Critics Association Award for Best Documentary Score in 2012).

Hannu is known for some other achievements too, he won the silver medal in the men's javelin 1976 Summer Olympics held in Montreal, Canada.

It's always a pleasure to listen to Hannu and to look at the nature through his eyes, he is a true lover of forests and nature.
