MacDonald Armouries - Making History

This is Paul MacDonald, Custom Knife and Swordmaker in his workshop in Brunswick Street Lane, Edinburgh. The workshop is always busy, and reminds me of many metal workshops in India and Asia - an industry in a small space. I walk down this lane to go into the rear entrance of my own workplace, which is an office building, sterile and dull in comparison with Paul's workshop. Paul strikes me as a man doing what he loves to do, that he is happy here.
