Red Squirrel Corner . . .

. . . at the Birds' Bistro.

With these low temperatures and coverings of snow, we are keen to keep the garden birds fed, even more than usual. So it was off to the Birds' Bistro to stock up, spending of course a lot more than we planned. It's all in a good cause though.

Amazing place is the Bistro, where you get a very friendly welcome and lots of advice if you need it. They make up all their own mixes and stock everything you can imagine in the way of bird food and feeders. They even have a Red Squirrel section, as many of us round here get Reds visiting the gardens, and there is a big campaign to try to protect them and keep them thriving in Cumbria
