Samples

After not being able to eat or drink ANYTHING from 9pm onwards last night, I made my way to Pauline's work place to do some blood work that new endocrinologist needs. All routine stuff. All necessary as I haven't done these for er, a few years! Bad me not taking care of things.

They have a completely new technique now. No more filling a syringe and then re-filling little phials. Oh no. Now they insert the needle and then insert the phial individually! When its filled, it comes out and in goes the next. No dripping between changes. Couldn't believe how many there were - 11!! Even the technician commented! Very nice she was too - from Teheran.

So, that done and over by 10:30am, G and I raced all over town getting lots done, all very smooth - didn't get caught in traffic jams, didn't go back on ourselves, got to appointment in Abu Dhabi early and G actually got to see the doctor straight away. He's very happy with her progress. Got back home to a bit more running around and now, I must tackle some packing! G is already done and taking herself to bed, I have to do mine as quietly as possible in my room!

Really sorry I am not getting to you tonight - tomorrow from the UK where I hear it is really freezing and not changing any time soon. Hmmmm... wonder if the sun will shine! ;) Never mind. I'm in.
