Pompoms

I have been making pompoms for the Pompom Blossom Festival to be held in Balfron, Stirlingshire in June 2013 as part of FabFest 2013, which promotes the visual arts in rural Stirlingshire. The idea is that Balfron and surroundings will be adorned with at least 1000 pompoms. You can read more about this on the Pompom Blossom blog, which also included instructions on how make pompoms and where to send them once you have produced at least one. So far I have made 9, all from mohair and thought I would have my own little installation in our garden this morning. They looked marvellous in the snow. More on my blogpost here.
