Rowing cake - Oxford to win!

Well, we finished the rowing cake to take off to the club trip to Snowdonia tomorrow. It's a bit wonky and some of the icing has cracked, but is looking pretty good. Making rowing blades out of sugar icing is really fiddly.

Let's hope we manage to get it there in one piece (disassembled) and everyone likes it..... and the characters should be just about recognisable so I hope they don't mind the poorly iced squinty eyes and badly moulded puffy arms! Now I know why the professionals charge so much for these cakes. :-)

And, of course, we'll be cheering on the dark blues in the race today!
