A beautiful game

Hang gliding isn't The beautiful game - it's better than that... unless you're a spectator that is. But who wants to be a spectator? I was chatting to Tony Beresford today who's been in the game for 41 years (He has some tales to tell). I thought that sounded like a heck of a long time - and then realised that I'd been at it for almost 35. The sad truth is, when I started in '78 nearly everyone was in their twenties ( I was 19) - and now nearly everyone is over 50. I don't know why fewer young people have a dream to fly these days. Hang gliding is very accessible - in return for a year or two of slog. The rewards are great however.
