The Powder House

I must have been lucky with the weather today. It was warm with a gentle breeze on a 5.5 mile round hike. The "Powder House" is where the schooners unloaded their dynamite for the slate mines rather than take their cargo into the busy port of Porthmadog. Not so the journey back over the moors to Bala where I struggled to keep my small car on the road!
