The Wellington Suspension Bridge

A quick trip out early evening,
for a shot I have been meaning to take for a while.
Although, I still need to capture it at night, when it is illuminated.

The Wellington Suspension Bridge (known locally as the Chain Brig)
was only the second bridge to cross the River Dee at Aberdeen.
Located between Ferryhill and Torry,
just upstream of the Queen Elizabeth Bridge
and a mile south of Aberdeen city centre.
It was built 1829-31 at a cost of £10,000
to replace the Craiglug ferry.
The Wellington Bridge is an A-listed Scheduled Ancient Monument
and is listed as Scotland's second oldest vehicle suspension bridge
remaining intact.
