I have no idea why this spade was abandoned on the plaza above Joppa Rocks. It does, however, bring a little colour to a very drab and rainy day. The sea is flat calm after the wind has gone. The small tanker at anchor is "The Happy Fellow"waiting on an order from Grangemouth. "The Happy Gal", presumably a sister ship rather than a potential "item", had been lurking for a few days in the lee of Inchkeith. Who ever lost this spade will no doubt have been far from happy.
