Blue stars
Or, rather, blue anenomes. These may be Anemone blanda (Grecian Windflower): ( Greek anem?n? means "daughter of the wind").
For sure, these are one of Mrs Scharwenka's favourite flowers, and she looks after them assiduously, and frets somewhat when they do not appear early enough in the spring and she fears they may have perished in the cold.
There's quite a lot of colour developing in the garden now. Here are some hyacinths that grow near the anenomes. And here some baby tulips in our front garden. I related the history of these pretty tulips on 23 March last year.
