Thac Tinh Yeu

Also known as the Love Waterfall. I couldn't resist blipping another waterfall, particularly one as beautiful as this. In the end I wussed out, opted out of mountain biking down the pass myself. As spectacular a ride as it would have been, I decided I wanted to also see this waterfall and the loop walk added an hour onto my journey, so wouldn't have had time to do both. Instead I caught a xe om to the Heaven's Gate for breathtaking views down over the Lai Chai province. Heaven's Gate is also known as Tam Tron pass, Vietnam's highest mountain pass. Then we started the descent, back towards Sa Pa, on the way I stopped to check out the Love Waterfall. I'm so glad I did. The scenery and forest was amazing!! And it was reasonably quiet too :)

Back to Tam Dao tonight on the overnight train.... It's been a wonderful weekend!
