Icterus bullockii
With few rare exceptions, Bullock's Oriole is the only species of oriole to visit Yosemite. It started showing up this year in the middle of April, and will probably hand around for at least 2 more months while it makes some babies.
The male is bright orange with a black crown, throat, and eyeline, while the female is a combination of warm mustard yellow and white. I've seen them in oaks, pines, and willows; their bright colors can make them pretty easy to spot.
This is the closest I've gotten to a male so far. It was hanging out in a pine on the edge of El Cap Meadow this morning. The orange is killer.
