All lit up

At this time of year the wattle is flowering - this species is most likely Acacia pycnantha, which is endemic to most of the south-east of Australia, and is our national emblem.

Amidst the grey skies and dull weather it really does light up the bush.

As an aside, there are more than 900 species of Acacia.
