We have arrived……….

…….at our holiday destination after a long drive all the way to Mullion on the Lizard peninsula Cornwall. (two other photos in extras)
We shared the driving, doing half each. It’s a 5 hour journey (without stops), but we stopped twice. Leaving home at 9.15am and arriving here at 4.30pm.
We left home in temperatures of 9C and mistiness but once we arrived further south on into Somerset and Devon the sun came out and we drove the rest of the way with glorious blue skies and warm sunshine.
We had our lunch stop as the road wound its way along the edge of Dartmoor. before crossing the boundary into Cornwall, the furthest south of all the English counties.
Driving down The Lizard peninsula the sides of the road are full of English bluebells and cow parsley, with lots of yellow flowering gorse.
We have stayed in this bungalow at least four times, a holiday rental.
Over the many years we have been coming we have always stayed in this village at various venues.
We are only about 150 yards from the South West coastal path along the cliff. At the moment the sun is making the sea shimmer with light.
It is about 15C at 6.00pm.
We are having a Cornish cream tea. (Scones with jam and cream).
What could better!
It’s one of the benefits of self catering, being able to please ourselves when we have our meals.
A little later we will take a stroll down to the cliff path and watch the sun going down across Mounts Bay in the west.
My comments on your blips may be few and far between the coming week.
Have a good rest of the weekend!
