En route

Quite a busy day, so it was - an early visit to the allotment (looking remarkably good after all D's hard grafting this week), then a lunch in the Kings Wark with the lovely sands - she's on a blip-break at the moment, so there was lots of gossip to catch up on. Later on D had to head off up to Ardnamurchan and I drove down to West Linton to meet my nephew Peter and his friend Steve who are cycling from Lands End to John o' Groats. They've cycled here from Carlisle today, about 82 miles. They seemed in remarkably good shape, although walking a trifle gingerly!

The bunting was out in West Linton for their Whipman festival, rather than for the cyclists; but I can't account for the ghostly presence that appears to have manifested beside Steve!
