4.......Flood Defence

I walked down to the part of the city with a relatively new flood defence, it's two years old, before then the Danube would run towards the Gellert hotel and block the road and tram line, strangling the city.
Usually there are cars running along side of the river but the road is now underwater, the city doesn't mind this as no real damage os caused.
For the eagle eyed amongst you, you'll notice the T is not lit up, Uri must be staying :-)

And so 4 more days to go in my beloved Hungary and one more day to go in work. Tomorrow will be taken up with saying goodbye to people. There's something planned for me around lunchtime, probably the usual goodbye and gift, I'm sure the story of the Turk and toilet will come out....again :-) and then tomorrow evening a farewell drink with anyone who wants to turn up. This is a low cost location so to travel to Budapest is a big investment for people, so the least I can do is pay for a few beers for them,
