Adelaide, old and the new

Today being Friday it is now our regular Central Market day for lunch and shopping. I had it all planned to do a shot of some shops from half way up on the escalator.

However we stopped for a moment outside the market to read a menu when I noticed this very old bluestone house, right next to a very modern high-rise apartment block. I could not resist a shot of the new with the old. The house would be at least 160 years old, while the penthouse block is about 2 years old.

We then negotiated on returning home and Paladian did the market shot, see here, and I was very happy to show a street scene. After all, I did a Central Market spice scene a week ago.
