Hare Island in the rain

We must be mad but it's the Island Festival this weekend and I was determined to get to at least one of the islands. I couldnt go yesterday when the weather was good so went today in the pouring relentless rain accompanied by the intrepid BAT and her Italian wwoofers. Even the ferry man thought we were bonkers.
We took refuge in a warm and welcoming cottage, were given tea and cakes and spent two hours learning how to make lace. Great fun. We also visited a couple of artist's studios.
I got home soaked to the skin, freezing cold and happy out.
