Only photo I took today — notes for an album share group I’m a part of.

Four of us have been taking it in turns to share one album recommendation a week for 7 years now. It’s me, Mark, Mark’s friend from uni, Andy, and a friend of his, Ollie. In all that time we’ve only ever communicated over WhatsApp, sharing our thoughts on each album, but this year for the first time we thought we’d do an end of year review over Zoom. This meant I actually saw and spoke to Ollie for the first time, despite chatting via text for so long — lovely chap.

It was a good evening. The personalities all gel well and everyone had interesting insights. It’s mad that the group has managed to keep going for so long — no one has ever missed their week when it comes around — even though there’s been four kids, two more on the way, and a pandemic in amongst it all.
