U-Bahnhof Marienplatz

Marienplatz underground station, 3 o'clock in the afternoon, rather deserted. Really crappy day today - very rainy, damp, and cold. Nevertheless, the city is completely overrun by a) tourists, b) demonstrators for higher wages and lower appartment rents, and c) the police, who has a public relations event today. So best to stay underground - or in bed.

Marienplatz underground station was among the first to open in 1972. With approx. 180,000 passengers per day it is one of Munich's busiest stations and one of the most important connecting stations.
